Please note: This is a hybrid position. The team works from home 2 days a week and in the office 3 days a week. Team members are required to work onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and can choose one additional day to work in the office.

Life as a Public Relations Specialist at CES:
As a Public Relations Specialist on our Marketing Communications team, you will be the driving force behind our PR strategy, crafting compelling stories, engaging with media, and managing social media communications. We are looking for candidates who excel in dynamic, team-oriented environments and enjoy engaging with others while taking ownership of Public Relations for the team. Your Objectives:
- Create and execute public relations strategies and campaigns that align with City Electric Supply’s goals and enhance the company’s brand presence.
- Develop captivating press releases and pitch stories to local, national, and trade media.
- Build and nurture relationships with media professionals across the U.S. for effective coverage.
- Manage all social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and updates for PR content.
- Track media coverage, measure PR effectiveness, and report on campaign success.
- Handle crisis communication with professionalism to protect the company’s reputation.
- Organize PR events such as press conferences and media briefings to boost our public image.
- Maintain up-to-date PR materials, including press kits and media lists.
- Stay current with PR trends and best practices to continually refine our strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience in Public Relations.
- Familiarity with PR tools like Cision Software; tech-savvy in managing media relations.
- Expertise in crafting attention-grabbing press releases and spotting newsworthy stories.
- Confident in pitching to media and building relationships across the U.S.
- Skilled in navigating crisis situations and strategic response.
- Media experience is a plus, adding depth to your PR strategies.
- Proven ability to manage social media platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Strong creative and communication skills, with a solid grasp of AP Style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.

- Culture and Values Interview over Microsoft Teams with our Marcom Manager (30 mins)
- On-site Interview at our Downtown Dallas HQ with the Marketing team (60 mins)
